Key Highlights
- First custom mixed-use project in the Western Cape to be awarded a Green Star 4 Star New Build rating.
- Centralised additional treatment and use of off-site treated effluent water for toilet flushing, irrigation and make-up water for cooling towers.
- Upgrade of the surrounding canal system designed in conjunction with the integrated water management strategy for the buildings, replenishing the local water table and increasing biodiversity through additional bio filters added to the canal to maintain water quality.
- Inclusion of different mixed-mode thermal comfort and ventilation systems per building combined with a district cooling plant serving the four buildings.
